Our client is a Market leader in Financial Industry looking for a Head Business and Product Development to drive the top line revenues for respective business segment by executing strategy, undertaking business development & relationship management to increase market share The job role directly reports into the CEO


Key Responsibilities will include

  • Provide leadership and direction to all product team, marketing and sales teams to ensure growth and continuous development of the market segments
  • Develop the Business Development strategy in line with the corporate growth strategy and devise tactical plans to achieve business growth objectives
  • Drive top-line performance in line with business plan generated from current and new product and services
  • Drive the development of new products and services including amendments to existing products and services in alignment with organization’s strategy
  • Identify and analyse macro-economic factors influencing the business and make contingency plans accordingly viz., market slowdowns etc.
  • Prepare business plans / revenue projections for various aspects of all product segments in line with the analysed economic factors
  • Guide the product segments to analyse turnover trends and benchmark to competition with respect to market information and devise strategies to counter the same
  • Continuously liaise with the critical stakeholder group viz., Regulatory Bodies, Financial Institutions, Industry Associations, Key Industry People & Educational Institutions, International Stock exchanges and service providers, brokers etc.
  • Lead the sales and business development including development and implementation of sales and business development strategy across identified customer segments, sections and geographies
  • Direct the customer support teams to function as active business centres rather than operational centres with a view to increase membership and listing to generate maximum revenue for the exchange

Who we're looking for

  • Must have Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Management or equivalent
  • More than 12 years of experience in a similar role preferably in the financial/customer service industry preferably in Stock Exchange / Capital Market
  • 6-8 years of experience in handling sales and account management role and managing a sales team
  • More than 6 years of experience in people management
